Welcome to Cawood C of E Primary School

"Excellence and enjoyment, rooted in our key Christian values of Hope, Friendship and Thankfulness"

At Cawood, everyone matters.

We are a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary school for 3 -11 year olds, based in North Yorkshire. We aim to be a highly inclusive school where everyone matters.

We are currently working in partnership with the Diocese of York, North Yorkshire, North Yorkshire Music Services, The North Star Alliance, our local cluster of Schools and Club Doncaster (Doncaster Rovers) to deliver the very best outcomes we can for our primary aged/school children.

We are a smaller than average school with a huge ambition for all of our children. Our previous SIAMS inspection judged the school to be outstanding. Our Ofsted inspection judged the school to be very good, but not yet consistently outstanding in all areas.

We are very proud of the children and their achievements, and we have a very dedicated staff team that works hard, alongside governors, parents/carers, the church and the whole community to provide the very highest levels of education.

Please contact the school if you would like to know more about us or would like to look around the school. We are always happy to be of assistance, and we would love to hear from you if you have any comments or questions about our school.

2017 Class transition meetings - We have loaded the presentations from the class meetings onto the school website. You'll find them to download by clicking on the Parents tab above.

We are proud to be members of the North Star and Polaris Teaching School Alliances. North Star and Polaris formed a unique partnership in 2016 to support school improvement across North Yorkshire, and work with around 70 primary schools in the region. Our collective aim is to improve outcomes for all children through a self-sustaining, dynamic system of school improvement and support.

Train to teach in local schools: Cawood CE Primary School, as part of North Star Teaching Alliance, is delighted to be working in partnership with Leeds Trinity University and Polaris Teaching School Alliance to offer early years and primary teacher training places for 2019-20. Find out more about our School Direct programme here  (http://www.northstaralliance.org.uk/teacher-training/school-direct).

If you have a general enquiry, please contact the administrators (Jo Moore & Beth Lister) in the school office. (01757 268 368)
