his term’s workshops are for Year 3 and 4 and are held at Bootham Junior School on Monday 13th May, starting at 4.30pm and ending at 6.00pm. There is no need to be a particular ‘level’ but we would like the children to have a genuine interest in the subject they choose.
Choose one workshop from the selection of six. Available options are:
GAMES PROGRAMMING – create a car racer game.
MASTERCHEFS – Prepare, cook and eat your own savoury dish.
SLIMY SCIENCE – Experiment with Chemistry and the Natural World.
ENGINEERING – Put your designing and making stills to the test with this exciting look at engineering and the science behind movement and forces. Design and build your own balloon powered car to take home.
ART – Work with a specialist art teacher to extend your artistic skills, bring your own individual flair to a new project.
YOUNG AUTHORS – Get your creative juices flowing as you begin work on writing your own book.
SAMBA BAND – come along and join in the band creating Samba Rhythms to perform to your families at the end of the workshop.
